This research explores the contribution of social accountability to inclusive WASH, with a focus on improving water service levels in rural Bangladesh.
The research contributes to World Vision Bangladesh’s implementation of Citizen Voice and Action, an approach which mobilises and equips citizens to monitor and advocate for the improvement of government services.
The research provides learning in adaptive and iterative practice and assessment of outcomes of gender transformative social accountability, linked to the implementation of Citizen Voice and Action.
Concepts of gender equality, social inclusion and gender transformation, together with institutional frameworks for WASH governance are explored in the context of Bangladesh rural water supply.
